Since the age of 14, I have been hanging around the construction industry. My father and his four brothers were all roofers who took pride in their work. They taught me the hard work ethic I have and were my inspiration to treat people with respect and honesty.

I was always intrigued to watch closely as they worked and mentally took notes as I wanted to someday become a business owner from the lessons I learned along the way.

I come from a family of all brothers. I am the oldest and smartest. I don’t know if my brothers would agree with me, but we all get along great and learn from each other. My younger brother is also in the roofing industry and my littlest brother is just in the watching stage of his life. I love working out and also would be called a foodie. I am blessed to be married to a wonderful woman and the father of an amazing little girl! Every day I wake up and want to achieve the best for them.

I wish I could say that my whole life has been a bed of roses, but the one thing I can say is that every experience I have had in my life has had a life lesson that I feel blessed today to have gone through. I have learned to listen and learn from other’s lives and am very thankful for the teachers and mentors who have taught and touched my heart. I have learned to read; enjoying the knowledge and lessons of others have opened my eyes to new opportunities and growth.

The roofing and construction business have always been the one industry that always kept calling me back for more, to learn and grow each time just a bit more. With this industry they keep inventing new products to perfect how a homeowner’s house can be more efficient and increase in home value.

Today, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be blessed with the opportunity to be part of a great company and its growth. Xcel Roofing not only allows me to grow in my career of education in this industry but also gives me the opportunity to give back to the community that gives so much back to me. Thanks to them, I have not only learned the importance of continuing education but also relationship building, the insurance industry and networking in the business world. I have also been able to learn the trades of gutters, windows and siding all the components that make a home maintain its integrity.

My favorite book is the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – It shows you how to become Pro Active and reminds me every day that the change has to start from inside myself.

We at Xcel Roofing believe that business should be about people and creating a great, comfortable and easy experience. That dependability and availability along with communication helps grow relationships. I love sitting down with my homeowners and let them know that I have their backs through the entire process and the project. Every day I strive – not just to be better, but the best! I think that my customers would agree that I always try to give my best.
