My name is Jake Sorensen. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and lived there for 18 years of my life. As a young man I was brought up in a family that always stressed the importance of honesty, integrity and hard work. And, of course some Husker football!

Growing up, I was taught to treat my friends like family and that is no exception to my clients. I strive to make every customer feel like they’ve made a new friend in the roofing business. Building those relationships is a large part of why I love this line of work so much. I am a people’s person and always will be.

Outside of work, I am an outdoorsman at heart and spend most of my time exploring streams and waterways for fly fishing spots. Additionally, I am a proud dog dad and love taking the pup out for hikes on a nice day.

After graduating highschool I moved out to a small town in western Nebraska, known as Chadron and attended college there while I studied Rangeland Wildlife Management. I soon realized that the small town life was not for me and at the time, neither was college. I then made the move to Colorado in search of finding more than the life I knew in Nebraska. While still taking online classes, I slowly started to build a new life in colorful Colorado. I was always fond of the Rocky Mountains and wanted to explore everything they had to offer. As I became more familiar with the state, I found my love for the mountain man lifestyle. With pristine trout fishing in the beautiful canyons, and the unbelievable skiing at the peaks; what could be better?

After spending two years in the mountains I began to long for more growth in my work life. I knew I wanted to be in roofing but couldn’t find a company that I wanted to grow with. That was until I met Matt and Greg. Through a series of coincidental events, I found myself on a plane in route to Phoenix, Arizona to check out a position at a roofing company that had just spread its wings to the Sun Devil state.

After six days of shadowing with Greg, I knew this was the company for me. Their values as a company met perfectly with my own; two weeks later my bags were packed and I was driving through the desert to start my new found career in the Sun Valley. Though I may miss the beauty of Colorado, I am incredibly excited for this career opportunity and look forward to meeting new people and making an impact on my new local community!
