My grandpa wanted to make sure that his grandsons knew the business and knew how to do it right! We worked on all sorts of projects from apartment renovations to roofing. My grandpa always said that there was never a project too small or large that we can’t learn from! So, it seemed that roofing projects were the ones that I became passionate about over the years.
I attended Southeast High School, but eventually graduated from East High School in 2000. Wanting to take a break from the construction business for a while, and being a teenager not knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. I worked in the medical field for over 8 years and enjoyed it; however, I missed my roots of construction. I began a business of handyman and landscaping in my free time. That got me hooked again into what my true passion was - working with homeowners fixing their homes.
In 2011, I decided to fully invest myself into the construction/restoration industry again and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is where I learned to work with insurance companies specializing in windows. One of my loves is traveling so I took my business to Wisconsin and Illinois. Besides working, I learned my love for running and working out. In 2014, I realized that I wanted to take my life and business back home to Nebraska. Today my family keeps me moving forward; they have truly been there through thick and thin!
My only sister lives in Lincoln where she has given me my amazing niece and nephew. I love watching my niece dance and my nephew playing baseball! I have been blessed with a daughter who is learning how to drive (wow! What an experience!) and is also a Varsity Cheerleader. She also has been competing in pageants her whole life - can you say the apple of my life? I love working out and taking my 2 dogs to the park as much as possible.
I am looking forward to getting involved with the Alzheimer's Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Association as I have personal experience with both and I really want to give back. What I love about Xcel and why I chose them as my career company, is that they care about the community as much as I do. As I visit with you in your home, I hope to get to know you and your family as well!
