Charles definitely gained his entrepreneurial spirit and unceasing work ethic from his parents. He became a big brother when he was eight years old to Misty, who recently joined the National Guard. He graduated in 2011 from Bloomington Kennedy High School, where he loved playing hockey. He was so dedicated to the sport that he even played in a Junior Olympics style tournament in Lake Placid, New York. His parents taught him strong ethics and hockey taught him dedication.
Throughout his adult life, Charles has been a jack of all trades: from traveling the country with the World Poker Tour to helping run his family owned Halloween Funshop. He has involved himself in many trades and has learned a plethora of valuable lessons along the way. Finally in 2018, he stumbled upon this company, and like most of the best things in life, Xcel Roofing arrived into his life ywith perfect timing.
Charles had recently found out that he and his girlfriend, Brooke, were expecting their first baby. He was looking for a company to work with that wouldn’t feel like a “job,” and people to work alongside who viewed life in a like minded way. Brooke and Charles wanted to be able to build their new family in the city they grew up in. He had been searching for a company that upheld his specific personal values. Xcel’s backbone is integrity; their goal is to set the standard in not only professionalism, but also giving back to their communities and maintaining their own clients’ trust and happiness.
To stay involved in his community, he loves forging long lasting relationships with everyone he comes in contact with, and always making time and being willing to lend a hand to neighbors in need. Within the next year, Charles aspires to involve himself even more with supporting local veterans, animal institutions like Last Hope Animal Shelter, from which he adopted his dog, and many other organizations local to the area. One of his favorite parts of living in the great state of Minnesota is the 10,000 beautiful lakes. Together, he and Brooke aspire to keep those lakes sparkling and clean for years to come, so their future generations can enjoy the lakes just as much.
Outside of work, Charles loves to go fishing, celebrating life around a bonfire with friends, going up North with family, and spending any spare time he can with his beautiful baby girl, Rose, Brooke, and their happy dog, Passport. He has always had a patriotic soul; you can catch him driving around town with two crisp American flags on his truck, blowing in the wind. He still loves to play hockey in the driveway when Minnesota ices over, and in the kitchen on the freshly cleaned floors. Xcel has been a welcomed blessing in Charles’ life, and he hopes to use it to pay it forward to you and your family in any way he can.
